Olga Derkachova is a Doctor of Philological Sciences, professor of the Department of Primary Education Pedagogy. In 2000 graduated with honors from the Faculty of Philology, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian national university (Ukrainian philology, MA), Ivano-Frankivsk.
In 2003 she defended her PhD thesis on the subject “Arkady Kazka’s poetry and its role in the literary processes of the early XXth c.” (Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian national university, PhD diploma in Ukrainian Literature).
In 2016 she defended her doctoral thesis on the theme “Evolution of Stylistic Systems in Ukrainian Lyric Poetry” (Taras Shevchenko National University, Diploma Professional experience: 2000-2001 – Ivano-Frankivsk Gimnasium №1, teacher; 2003-2004 – University of Ukraine, schief of Editional department, lecturer; 2004-2007 – University of King Danylo, shief of license department, vice rector, lecturer; 2007 – 2016 – Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian national university, Pedagogical faculty, assistant professor, lecturer.
From 2017 – till now – Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian national university, Pedagogical faculty, professor, lecturer.
She is a participant of literary forums (Lviv, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kramatork, Stryj etc.), moderator and organizer of literary presentations, co-organizer of Metarealistic Festival «Carpathian Mantykora» (2011, 2014), Literary space of Carpathian Space (2018, 2019). Participated in the course „Literature and Mental Health“ (2016), Participated in the course „Teaching for Success: Lessons and Teaching“ (2016). Co-organizer of literary project „The First Manuscript» (2016-2019).
She is a member of National Writers‘ Organization, Scientistic Shevchenko‘s Community, National Journalist‘s Organization.
She is a writer an author of such books: The snowdrop syndrome, According to the London time, The store of happiness, The Artificial flowers wholesale, The apple jam, When you wake up, The knitted butterflies, The store of happiness, Tereza’s House; Concept of the world in Arkady Kazka‘s lyric, The World in the Text, Between the Scielence and World. Lyrics of Bohdan Tomenchuk.
Scientific activity: works on problems of modern Ukrainian poetry, literature for children, literature and inclusion, modern literary and educational process.
Educational activities: provides teaching the following courses : “Modern Ukrainian Language”, “Literature and Inclusion ”.
