IRYNA LYPA

Iryna Lypa graduated from Vasyl Stefanyk Ivano-Frankivsk State Pedagogical Institute in 1981 and received the honors diploma and teacher qualification in music and singing.

Since 1981, she worked as a concertmaster of the Vocal-conducting Department at Vasyl Stefanyk Ivano-Frankivsk State Pedagogical Institute.

Since 1983, Iryna Lypa worked as a lecturer in Theoretical and Instrumental Department at Vasyl Stefanyk Ivano-Frankivsk State Pedagogical Institute.

Since 1985, she was an assistant lecturer of the Department of Pedagogy and Methods of Primary Education and an assistant lecturer of the Department of Music and Methods of Teaching Music.

Since 1988, Iryna Lypa was a post-graduate student of the Scientific Research Institute of Art Education in the USSR Academy of Pedagogical Sciences (Moscow). Since 1992 – an assistant lecturer of the Department of Music and Methods of Teaching Music at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian University.

In 1993, she defended her Ph.D. thesis on “Discussion Music Club as a Means of Developing the Musical Interests of Schoolchildren Teenagers” at the Research Center of Aesthetic Education of the Institute for Personal Development (Moscow).

Since 1994, Iryna Lypa worked as an associate professor of Music Department at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian University. In 1996, she was awarded the title of Associate Professor. Since 2002, she worked as an associate professor of the Department of Singing and Conducting. Since 2005, Iryna Lypa was an associate professor of the Department of Arts, and since 2009 – an associate professor of the Department of Arts in Primary Education at Pedagogical Institute of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

Since 2016, she has been working as an Associate Professor of the Department of Primary Education Pedagogy at Pedagogical Institute of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

Degree: Ph. D. in Education (Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences).

Academic rank: Associate Professor.

Scientific activity: an author of more than 120 scientific and educational publications, a participant of National and International scientific and practical conferences.

Research area and interests: innovative educational technologies in the teaching of music and pedagogical disciplines in higher education.

Iryna Lypa is interested in the humanities as well: in philosophy, music psychology, theory and practice of music education.

Educational activities:

Iryna Lypa provides teaching the following subjects: «Fundamentals of Music Education in Primary School and Workshop on School Repertoire», «Vocal and Choral Work and Conducting», «Fundamentals of Vocal and Choral Arts and Conducting», «Musical Instrument», «Practicum on School Music Repertoire».

She is a Head of the student scientific group «Actual problems of music pedagogy» and supervises master’s works as well.

Organizational activity: a Member of the Scientific and Methodological Council of the Pedagogical Department.

Iryna Lypa participated in the organization of the University of Gifted Children at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. She performs volunteer and educational activities.

Iryna Lypa was awarded the Honors Certificates of the Main Department of Education and Science of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration (2010, 2012), the Honors Certificate of the Department of Education and Science of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration (2015), the Honors Certificates of the Rectorate (in particular, for the second place in the students competition «The best academic group of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University», 2012), and the Certificates of the Pedagogical Department Directorate.
